We pack with care
Every order from Bigglestones is packed carefully by hand in our Glasgow shop. We want your books to arrive in perfect condition, ready to read.
UK delivery options
We deliver anywhere in the UK using Royal Mail’s tracked services. All orders include tracking so you can follow your parcel from our shelves to your door.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays. Delivery timescales are estimates provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed.
Free delivery
We offer free 2nd Class Tracked delivery on all UK orders over £25. The free delivery option will be applied automatically at checkout once your basket reaches the threshold.
Order processing
We aim to dispatch all orders placed before the cut-off time on the same working day. Orders placed after the cut-off, at weekends, or on public holidays will be dispatched the next working day.
During busy periods — such as around publication days for high-demand titles, or in the run-up to Christmas — dispatch may take an additional working day. We’ll always let you know if there’s a delay.
Tracking your order
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your Royal Mail tracking number. You can use this to track your parcel at royalmail.com.
If you haven’t received a dispatch confirmation within 2 working days of placing your order, please check your junk folder first, then get in touch at shop@bigglestones.com.
Click & Collect
Prefer to pick up in person? You’re very welcome to collect your order from our shop on Glassford Street at no extra charge.
- Select Click & Collect at checkout
- We’ll send you an email when your order is ready — usually within 1-2 working days
- Bring your order confirmation (printed or on your phone) when you collect
- Orders are held for 14 days — please let us know if you need a little longer

Our opening hours are listed on our website. If you’re making a special trip, it’s worth giving us a quick social media DM, text or email first to confirm we’re open.
International delivery
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. If you’re based outside the UK and would like to order from us, please get in touch at shop@bigglestones.com and we’ll do our best to help.
Missing or delayed parcels
Royal Mail aims to deliver within the estimated timescales, but occasionally parcels can be delayed. If your order hasn’t arrived:
- 2nd Class Tracked — please allow up to 10 working days before contacting us
- 1st Class Tracked — please allow up to 5 working days before contacting us
If your parcel appears to be lost, contact us at shop@bigglestones.com and we’ll investigate with Royal Mail on your behalf.
Damaged parcels
If your order arrives damaged, please take photos and contact us within 48 hours of delivery at shop@bigglestones.com. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible. Please refer to our Returns & Refund Policy for full details.
